The 12 Days of Regis Toomey: An Introduction

Regis Toomey was a stalwart actor back in the first half of the 20th century. With a career spanning hundreds of movies, and several decades, from the end of the silents to the early 80's, the man made the most of his long life, always hardworking and professional, and always having fun. Toomey spent most of his career playing police officers, and he was great at it, be it in classics like The Big Sleep, or in lesser known comedies such as 1954/55's Hey Mulligan (aka The Mickey Rooney Show). Reeg was a supporting cast member in a lot of the movies he performed in, especially as his career went on, but he was still great fun to watch, and frequently memorable. He even sorta had the longest kiss in cinema with Jane Wyman for the 1941 movie You're in the Army Now, lasting over three minutes. For this Christmas marathon, I shall be looking at 12 Regis Toomey movies from across the years, and we'll see how they shape up, and how his career went...
